Everett Colvin

Everett J. "Jake" Colvin, 94, of Warren, died at 8:56 AM Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Community Skilled Nursing Centre in Warren.

He was born Saturday, September 18, 1909, in Circleville, Ohio, one of 19 children born to the late Oscar and Mammie Vaughn Colvin.
He had been the owner/operator of Buckeye Tree Service, and in later years had been a security guard at DiLucia's and DiVieste's Banquet Rooms. He attended the Warren Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, boating, travelling, and was an avid Sgt. York admirer.

In 1933, he married Helen Wolfe, who preceded him in death in 1991.

Surviving Mr. Wolfe are his son, Norman Colvin of Liberty; two daughters: Helene Schwab of Niles and Judy "Bobette" Reider of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Marie Hill of Jackson, Ohio; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two close friends, Bob Dellimuti and Judith White.

Services for Mr. Colvin will be held at the McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481 on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 9:30 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home one-half hour before the service. Burial will take place at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
