Evelyn M. Byler, 62, of Warren, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Community Skilled Health Care Centre. She was born October 31, 1949 in Richwood, West Virginia, the daughter of George Huey and Myrtle Leona (Davis) Hyer, and had lived in Warren most of her life.

Ms. Byler had worked as a nurse's aide for Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, and was a member of Warren Baptist Temple.

Surviving are a son, Robert Byler of Kent; two grandchildren, Diana and Danny Byler of Ravenna; and her special friend and foster sister, Maggie (Fred) Furbee of Warren. Preceding her in death are her parents and a sister, Phyllis Jean Isenhart.

Her life will be celebrated with a service at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. James Dittmar officiating. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to Warren Baptist Temple, 2093 Ewalt Ave. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483.
