Eva B. Welch

HOWLAND - Eva B. Welch, 90, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015. She was born on April 27, 1925 in Terra Alta, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Dayton and Edith Whitehair Bucklew. She was married to her beloved husband, Lynn F. Welch on October 26, 1945 until he passed away in 1994.

Eva was a graduate of Youngstown College. She was an elementary teacher in Warren City Schools until her retirement in 1976. She moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1978 and returned to Warren in 2014. She was a member of the Tod Avenue and Port Charlotte United Methodist Churches. She enjoyed volunteering, sewing, playing cards, Wii bowling, and loved spending time with family, especially at EvaLynn's Glen.

Wonderful memories of Eva will be carried on by son, George (Deborah) Welch; daughter, Peggy (Earl) Smith; son, Steve (Tammy Weaver) Welch; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Welch; grandchildren, Michael (Regan) Welch, Jason (Brook) Smith, Kristie (Derek) Steyer, Aaron (Jenny) Smith, Kerri (Bob Grove) Smith, Greg (Kelly) Welch; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Dolores Bucklew, Amanda Welch; plus many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn F. Welch; sisters, Virginia Wallace, Jean Shaffer; brothers, Clifford Bucklew, Donald Bucklew.

Family will receive friends Friday, October 9, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Visitation will be held again in West Virginia on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Albright United Methodist Church at 12 noon, followed by a 1:00 pm service. The Rev. Earl Smith will be officiating. Services of final committal will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Kingwood, WV.
