Ettamae Hetzler, 96, of Howland, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born May 17, 1912 in Monaca, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Wilhelmina (Eberhardt) Konvolinka, and had lived in Trumbull County since 1952.
A graduate of Geneva College, Mrs. Hetzler had been a concert pianist and taught piano for many years. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church and an active member of North-Mar Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. She enjoyed her family, and her warmth was evident to all who entered her home.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Melvin C. and Chrystal Hetzler of Youngstown; her caregiver and special friend, Ann Jordan of McDonald; and her special friends, Jim and Jane Bucher of Howland. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Melvin A. Hetzler, whom she married January 7, 1939 and who died January 15, 1994; her daughter, Patricia A. Hetzler; and three brothers, Carl W., Harold, and Roy W. Konvolinka.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Long of North-Mar church officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park.
