Ervin Thornsberry Jr. of Niles passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in his residence. He was 68.
Ervin was born in Warren on February 8, 1950, the son of the late Ervin Sr. and Lois Holt Thornsberry.
He was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, Ervin worked in the maintenance department at various business throughout the valley.
Mr. Thornsberry was of protestant faith. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Mahoning Valley Scrappers fan. He would spend hours keeping stats of his favorite team. Ervin also enjoyed going to his favorite fishing hole and bowling on different leagues. He found relaxation in reading, spending time at a local campground, and working on his family genealogy.
Ervin is survived by 2 sisters, Diana Chambers of Niles and Kimberly (Eddie) Raber of Vienna; 3 nieces, Erin McLaughlin, Yvette Chambers-Petrilla, and Nicole Rozier; a nephew, Ernest Rozier IV; He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rozier; a nephew, John Chambers Jr.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Curtis Miller.
Internment will take place in Kerr Cemetery.
