Elsie Gorse

Elsie Gorse, 83, of Warren, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Briarhill Nursing Home in Middlefield. She was born September 30, 1922 in Yukon, Pa., the daughter of Antonio and Angelica (Valmassoni) Barnabo, and had lived in the Warren, area most of her life.

Mrs. Gorse was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had been a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Surviving are her children: William A. Gorse, Jr. of Washington, D.C., Barbara (Rodger) Palmer of Arnold, Md., and Catherine (Gary) Bush of Concord, Ohio; four grandchildren: Amy, Megan, Evan, and Jillian Bush; and two sisters: Clara Barnabo and Elizabeth Kaczor, both of Warren. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, William A. Gorse, Sr., whom she married May 30, 1944 and who died July 4, 2005; and seven sisters and brothers.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 25, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Material contributions may be made to St. Mary's Restoration Fund, 232 Seneca N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481.
