Ellen L. Zawacki

Ellen L. (Dalrymple) Zawacki, age 70 of East Hoague Road, in Freesoil, Michigan, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at her home.

She was born on January 23, 1940 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl O. and Lucille (Malloy) Dalrymple. She graduated from the former Braceville High School, now LaBrae High School the class of 1958. Ellen married Norbert E. Zawacki on October 5, 1963 at Christ Our King Church in Warren, Ohio. They returned to Freesoil, Michigan to make their home in 1997. Norbert preceded her in death on October 3, 1998. Ellen enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, traveling and crocheting and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Manistee.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law; Lynn & Michael Puzak of Freesoil, MI, her son and daughter in-law, James Zawacki and Lynnette Senterfitt of Orlando, Florida, her grandson, Hunter Puzak of Freesoil, MI, two sisters & two brothers-in-law; Patricia Mazzi, and Margaret & Bruce Ramey all of Warren, OH, and Jim Click of Leander, KY, her brother in-law and sister in-law, Kenneth and Marilyn Zawacki of Manistee, MI. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Jodi Zawacki, her sister Barbara Click and by her brother-in-law, Raymond Mazzi.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Reverend John McCracken officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee. The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service to receive friends.
