Ellen D. Nadiak, 61, of Butler, Pa. and formerly of Warren, died in a traffic accident in Butler on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. She was born April 12, 1949 in Warren, the daughter of Robert M and Audrey (Bevard) Wilson, and had lived in Butler the past 16 years.
Ellen was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and Kent State University. A friendly person with a kind word for everyone, she loved children, and was a dedicated school teacher for over twenty-five years in various school districts, the most recent being the Butler Area School District.
Surviving are her husband, Phil Nadiak, whom she married December 30, 1972; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill W. and Walter Gurdak of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a son, Jeffrey W. Nadiak of Butler; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and David Kneer of Carrollton, Tex.; a brother, Jerry Wilson of Dallas, Tex.; a niece, Erin Barbutes; a nephew, Connor Kneer; an aunt, Martha Calvey of Warren; and a cousin, Patrick Calvey. Preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers, James and Thomas Wilson.
Services are 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
