Ellen Money of Vienna passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 8:15 a.m. in Vista Center at the Ridge. She was 90.
She was born on April 6, 1925 in Vienna, the daughter of George and Hazel Miller Haynie.
She was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Vienna High School. Following graduation she married Kenneth Thomas Money, they were married 38 years prior to his passing in 1978.
Mrs. Money was a member of Pleasant Valley Church. While at the church she worked as a secretary and wedding planner. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends and was always there to help those in need.
Ellen is survived by two children, Elaine (Bob) Harvey and Colleen Money; 4 grandchildren, Tammy (Randy) Walters, Kevin (Holly) Money, Tracy (Brad) Savin, and Elisha (John) Massaro; and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Hazel Cvelbar and Georgia (Fred) Hoskins; a brother, Robert Haynie, all of Vienna; 3 sister-in-laws, Audrey, Beverely, and Betty;
In addition to her parents and husband, Ellen was preceded in death by a son, Ken G. Money; 3 brothers, Howard, Walter, and Jack.
