Elizabeth Jane Wilkes

Elizabeth Jane Wilkes of Cortland passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 20, 2024. She was 92. 

She was born December 13, 1931, in Warren and was of Catholic Faith. Elizabeth graduated from Harding High School and was a loving mother and homemaker. 

Elizabeth was very active and never let her age slow her down. She enjoyed sailing on her catamaran, playing tennis, bowling, and was still outdoors golfing with her daughter in her late 80’s. 

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Tracey (Ron) Bavier of Denver, NC, Shelley Wilkes of Port Orange, FL, and Pamela (Chuck) Digiacobbe of Girard; 4 grandchildren, Bryant (Miranda), Christina, Jared, and Nathan; and 3 great grandchildren, Everly Grace, Silas, and Declan.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wilkes, who passed in 2021 just shy of their 70th wedding anniversary’ and 7 siblings.
