Eleanor L. Harley

Eleanor L. Harley, 94, of Warren, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born July 1, 1915 in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Earl and Viola (Bauman) Leach, and moved to Trumbull County in early childhood.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Mrs. Harley worked as a secretary for Warren City Schools, retiring in 1979. A member of First United Church of Christ, she enjoyed golf, bridge, family, and friends.

Surviving are her children, Paul B. (Linda) Harley of Homosassa, Fla., and Denise H. (John) Dubasik of Warren; and two grandchildren, Zachary (Sarah) Dubasik and Meredith (Eli) Bortz. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, William Harley, whom she married August 13, 1941 and who died August 17, 1992; and two brothers, Kenneth and Harold Leach.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Coy officiating. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made either to Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 N. River Rd. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44484, or First United Church of Christ, 280 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44481.
