Elburn Dion Jenkins

Elburn Dion Jenkins, 71, of Champion, died at home August 19, 2009. He was born December 28, 1937 in Warren, the son of Elburn A. and Delores (Scott) Jenkins, and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Jenkins worked at Packard Electric as an electrician, retiring after 30 years of employment. A former member of area dart leagues and the YMCA, he was an active member of the American Pool Association. He enjoyed gardening, pool, and all sports, especially the Indians and Browns.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gene Payne of O'Fallon, Mo.; three grandchildren: Michelle of Warren, and Daren and Cassidy of O'Fallon; a great-grandchild, Evangeline of O'Fallon; and three brothers: Allen (Julie) and Garry Jenkins, both of Warren, and Douglas (Kathy) Jenkins of Albuquerque, N.M. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Connie Kaye (Bowser) Jenkins, whom he married March 23, 1963 and who died December 25, 2003; and a brother, Byron Jenkins.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Rd. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483.
