Eileen M. Flynn, 88, of Warren, died 11:45 AM Sunday, March 13, 2005 at The Manor at Autumn Hills in Niles. She was born on Sunday, August 20, 1916, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of the late Earl G. and Minnie M. Imsdahl Hammell, and lived in the Warren area most of her life.
Mrs. Flynn was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended business college.
She retired in 1982 as treasurer of First Federal Savings and Loan in Warren.
Mrs. Flynn was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warren; a member of the American Society of Women Accountants and past president of the Youngstown Chapter; past president of Penn-Ohio Chapter of the Financial Managers Society of Savings Institutions; a former member of the Warren Chamber of Commerce; a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and past president of Warren Council Beta Sigma Phi; a member of the Warren Women's Club; a member of the Auxiliary, and a former Trustee of the Board of the Children's Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Flynn also travelled extensively.
Surviving Mrs. Flynn are her niece, Sandra (Ernest) Smith of Poland, and several other nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mrs. Flynn in death are her parents and her husband, Harold W. Flynn, whom she married August 9, 1952 and who died July 26, 1976.
Services for Mrs. Flynn will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Rick Oaks officiating. Interment will follow at Niles City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday.
