d. January 30, 2006

Edward Dennis Ostrosky, 59, of Warren, died 6:30 PM Monday, January 30, 2006 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born November 12, 1946 in New Castle, Pa., the son of Edward Anthony and Dorothy Dunn Ostrosky, and had lived in the Warren area for the past 28 years.

Ed had retired from Delphi Packard, where he had worked as a quality control engineer. He was a graduate of Kent State University and had served in the U.S. Army. He belonged to VFW Post 1090, the Slovak Club, and the Polish Falcons in New Castle. He loved telling stories about his two girls that he was so proud of. He also loved hanging out with his son-in-law, cutting trees down, bringing his dog Mickey over to his son-in-law and daughter's home, and, as an avid Steelers fan, was looking forward to watching Super Bowl XL.

Ed will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda Mariacher Ostrosky, whom he married August 12, 1976; two daughters, Sgt. Lisa Ostrosky, stationed at Miramar Marine Air Station in San Diego, Calif., and Amy (Matt) Campbell of Warren; a sister, Shara (Bob) Aaronian of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and a brother, David Ostrosky of Boston, Mass. Preceding him in death are his parents and a sister, Barbara Caimano.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, 10000 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, Ohio 44141.
