Edward A. De De Salvo

Edward A. DeSalvo, 54, of Newton Falls, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, the result of an auto accident. He was born October 13, 1949 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, the son of Tony and Francis Chiarenza DeSalvo.

Mr. DeSalvo worked for many years for Harbison-Walker. He belonged to St. Michael's Church in Windham, the Knights of Columbus in Windham, the Lions' Club, and was a former member of the American Legion. Ed served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was an avid fisherman and was known for his fish dinners, blueberry muffins, and canned peppers.

Surviving Mr. DeSalvo are his wife, Nancy Henry DeSalvo, whom he married August 6, 1977; son Brandon and daughter Morgan of Newton Falls; his parents of Windham; two sisters: Mary (Kevin) Wert of Windham and Lucy (John) Jeffries of Canton; and a brother, Nick DeSalvo of Windham.

Services for Mr. DeSalvo will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 13, 2004 at St. Michael's Church, 9736 E. Center St., Windham, Ohio 44288. Friends may call 6:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at James Funeral Home, 18 Broad Street East, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444, and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Material contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
