Edna I. Mocella

Edna I. Mocella, 77, of Bristolville, died 9:43 AM Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at St. Joseph's Health Center in Warren. She was born Thursday, September 29, 1927, in Warren, the daughter of the late Fred Shipman and Janod Simons Shipman List.

Edna had worked as a press operator at Kennametal. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edna is survived by four children: Kathleen (Robert) Eakin of Bristolville, Karen (Al) Benton of Greene, Jo Anne (Charles) Giesy of Warren, and Richard Mocella, Jr. of Warren; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Eugene and Floyd Shipman, and Robert List, all of Mecca; three sisters: Helen Clark and Wanda Sawyer, both of Bristolville, and Betty Biro of North Carolina. Edna is also survived by her many friends and neighbors who loved her dearly.

Preceding Edna in death are her parents; her husband, Richard Mocella, Sr., whom she married February 25, 1950 and who died September 2, 2004; and her stepfather, Robert List, Jr.

Services for Edna will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1321 State Rd. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44481, with Mr. Tim Headrick and Mr. Raul Kemp officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Saturday.
