Edith Mae Neugebauer

Edith Mae (Edie) Neugebauer, of Warren, OH died Monday, June 27, 2005 at 7:30 AM at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born June 12, 1912 in Altoona, PA, a daughter of William T. and Nina V. Helzel Berksdresser. Edie was a long time resident of Warren, moving here with her husband, Kenneth F. Neugebauer, a former manager of W.T. Grant Co. on Elm Road Plaza and was a member of First United Church of Christ. Edie retired as a cafeteria worker with Warren City Schools. She was an excellent cook and baker; enjoyed gardening and swinging on her deck swing.

Edie is survived by two daughters, Darla with whom she made her home; Jill (John) Samu of Howland. She loved being a grandmother to Jennifer (Steve) Herbert of Waterford, MI; Scott (Janelle) Samu of Lewis Center, OH; and Matthew of Niles, OH.

Edie became a proud great grandmother when Lauren Kay Herbert was born in February, 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth who died January 11, 1968; sister Alsumena (Elsie) Alleman and three brothers Robert, William, and Eldred.

At her request cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours.
