Edith Harriet Elliott

WARREN - Edith Harriet Elliott died Monday, November 2, 2015. She was born on August 31, 1919 in Ravenna, the daughter of the late Harry and Jessie Hoover Bentz.

Edith was a receptionist for Woodward Heating & Air Conditioning in Warren, retiring in 1980. She was a 50+ year member of First Presbyterian Church and for many years volunteered weekly in the Church office and served as a greeter. She was a long-time member of the Kirk Club. She also volunteered at Emerson School as a teacher's aide.

Edith will always be remembered as a loving and generous person to all who knew her. She leaves many friends who loved and appreciated her zest for life enjoying shopping trips, lunches, and hours of good conversation. She enjoyed her home and the companionship of her beloved cat, Clay.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Lindsay Elliott of Toledo; and a host of friends who were like family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Elliott, whom she married November 27, 1942 and preceded her October 26, 1998; and son, William Andrew "Andy" Elliott.

The family will receive friends from 11 to Noon, Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church, Warren. A celebration of Edith's life will begin at Noon at the Church with the Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating. Edith will be interred in the church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edith's memory to the First Presbyterian Church, Radio Ministry, 256 Mahoning Ave NW, Warren, OH 44483.
