Mrs. Edith Reeves Davis, 104, passed from this life to be with our Lord early Monday morning, December 29, 2003.
Edith was born October 15, 1899, the daughter of William R. and Stephanie Binder Reeves. She married Richard J. Davis June 28, 1919, becoming a homemaker and mother of four children: Richard E. Davis of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; Jane Brown of Niles; Norma Pretot of Howland, with whom Edith made her home for the past ten years; and Stephanie (Richard) Moore of Oxford, Ohio.
Edith loved homemaking, gardening, reading, sewing, singing and playing the piano. She also enjoyed all of her grandchildren - Ed and Nan Pretot, Robert Brown, Tim (Peggy) Brown, Elizabeth (Jay) Harman, Kathy (William) Steed, Dick (Andrea) Davis, and Christy Silver - as well as her 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was a member of North Mar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and Eastern Star for many years.
A sister, Helen Tingwald of Cleveland, also survives.
Preceding Edith in death were her parents; her husband of 60 years; a grandson, David J. Brown; four sisters and two brothers.
Services for Edith will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2004 at the North Mar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, 3855 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44484, with Pastor Jim Garber officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the church an hour before the service.
