Edith M. Cordero of Youngstown passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:36 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital Main Campus. She was 57.
Edith was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1960, the daughter of Cruz Cordero and Maria Zeno.
Ms. Cordero attended grade school at Jose Re Rivera Elementary School and secondary education at Dra Maria Cadilla de Martinez High School.
She was employed for many years as a cook at Jordan’s Market. Earlier in life, Edith worked as a machine operator for Voss Industries in Cleveland.
Ms. Cordero loved going to the casino and working out in the yard with her spare time. Most importantly she cherished the memories she made during family gatherings and special moments during Christmas while surrounded by her loving family.
Edith is survived by her mother, Maria Zeno of Arecibo, Puerto Rico; her father, Cruz Cordero of Kissimmee, FL; 2 daughters, Michelle Nieves and her fiancé Roberto of Youngstown and Angelie Nieves of Youngstown; 3 sisters, Cruz Maria Cruz, Nydia Cordero, and Francis Gilcott; 3 brothers, Alberto L. Cordero, Luis A. Cordero, and Jose Cordero; 7 grandchildren, Anaelie, Michelle, Arianis, Tamara, Angel, Mariangelie, and Alexander.
