Howland - Douglas R. Turner, age 44, passed away suddenly on December 14, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He was born April 18, 1970 in Warren, and was the beloved son of Oppie & Phyllis Post Montgomery.
Doug graduated from Bristolville in 1988. He worked for Lexington Component for 14 years until it closed. He went back to school and became a nurse, and just started working for V&M Star. Doug, or Huggy-Dougie as he was mostly known by, was a very hands on Dad. He participated in all children's activities throughout their school years. He was even a "homeroom Dad" for many years for Brittany. Doug had a tradition of having all the kids for dinner on Monday nights doing the cooking himself and loved using lots of spices. Doug was a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan and enjoyed watching all the games. Doug was loved by all his family and friends and will be missed tremendously by all.
He is survived by his wife, Renee Turner of Howland; girlfriend, Jennifer Lynn of Howland; daughters, Brittany Turner, Angelia Laney, Storm Turner, all of Howland; sisters, Chris Stoops of Champion, Cindy (John) Swank of Bristol; brothers, John Clark of Bristolville; Chuck Clark of Orwell; granddaughter-to-be, Cadaleah Laney; his stepmother; Nancy Turner, stepchildren, Jadann and Jer Lynn, many neices & nephews, and friends.

Family and Friends are invited on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm at McFarland & Son Funeral Services Company Warren. Funeral services will follow immediately after visitation with Pastor Mitch officiating from General Assembly Church of God in Newton Falls, OH. Cremation will follow services.
