Dorothy L. Nicely

Dorothy L. Nicely, 71, of Warren, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Burton Health Care Center in Burton. She was born August 11, 1938 in New York, New York, the daughter of Raymond L. and Dorothy L. (Price) Harper, Sr., and had lived in Trumbull County most of her life.

A 1956 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Ms. Nicely had worked as a legal secretary. She enjoyed skiing, travelling, and most of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Linda M. (Gene) Ward of Warren, and Rodney J. (Kimberly) Giel of Burton; five grandchildren: Audra (Joseph) Denvir, Jaime and Ryan E. Matzek, Jarod and Nicholas Giel, and Samantha Hargis; four great-grandchildren: Cameron and Caitlyn Hays, and Chloe and Hailey Bright; a sister, Patricia A. Prisco of New York; and a brother, Theodore Boyd of Arizona. Preceding her in death are her parents; a sister, Katherine Harris; and a brother, Raymond L. Harper, Jr.

According to the family's wishes, services and entombment are private.
