Dorothy M. Lawlor of Niles, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 6:17 p.m. in her residence. She was 88.
Mrs. Lawlor was born in Niles on November 22, 1926 the daughter of Emmett C. and Adelia Fitch McNamara.
She was a 1945 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Dorothy was a loving homemaker.
Mrs. Lawlor was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed people, family, and friends, loving to laugh and have fun.
Her husband, Edwin R. Lawlor, whom she married February 15, 1947, passed away on October 28, 2003 after 56 years and 8 months of loving matrimony.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by, a godson, Mark Gorby of Niles; four nieces, June Blank of Howland, Janice Marchitello of Canonsburg, PA, Cathy Donella of Muse, PA, and Linda Frisen of Cape Coral, FL; and a dear friend Elsie Shine of Niles.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by 3 brothers, William H., Norwood "Bay", and Robert J. McNamara; 3 sisters, Katherine J. Barbour, Eleanor Markel, and Audrey McNamara; a niece, Judy Uram and a nephew Norwood "Butch" McNamara.
A private graveside service and internment will take place in Niles City Cemetery, beside her beloved Eddie.
