Dorothy J. Bettiker

Dorothy Bettiker, 87, of Warren, died 5:30 PM Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born August 18, 1918 in Warren, the daughter of Edward and Blanche Wise Weston, and had lived in the Warren area all her life, with a winter home in Florida for many years.

Dorothy was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended Warren Business College. She attended North-Mar Church and later Emmanuel Lutheran Church with her late husband, John. She worked for Ohio Edison, Ohio Public Service, and the Department of Agriculture before retiring as secretary at North-Mar Church. She enjoyed going to church functions and to concerts at Warren Civic Music Association, and was always willing to help her many friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah L. Wilson of Cortland and Brenda J. (David) Bolinger of Abingdon, Va.; two granddaughters: Rachel Bolinger of Abingdon, Va. and Karen (Jay) Stiffler of Niles; a grandson, Ken (Misty) Wilson of Cortland; and a great-grandson, Chad Stiffler. Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, Delbert Partridge, whom she married in June, 1942 and who died in December, 1958; her second husband, Harry Montgomery, whom she married in June, 1964 and who died November 1967; and her third husband, John Bettiker, whom she married May, 1977 and who died April, 1999.

Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Stanley Partridge of Hartville, Ohio officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the North-Mar Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, 3855 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44484.
