Doris M. Heib

GREENE - Doris Mae Heib, 82, of Greene, passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 21, 2010, at her residence after a long and courageous five-year battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born June 11, 1928, in Vernon, Ohio and was a lifelong resident of Trumbull County.

Doris was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, traveling across the United States, crafts, and spending time with her family. Doris was a lifelong member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, attending both Greene and Cortland Kingdom Halls. She enjoyed going door-to-door sharing her beliefs with others about the Good News of God's Kingdom.

She was someone special and will be deeply missed by the many, many lives she had touched and leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Raymond Heib, whom she married May 11, 1947 and with whom she celebrated a 63rd wedding anniversary earlier this year; three children, Donna Rae Heib, Deborah Heib-Parsons and Larry (Cindy Lou) Heib all of Trumbull County; as well as three grandchildren and her beloved dog, Boomer.

The family specifically wishes to thank the many caregivers at Grace Hospice for their care, kindness, assistance, patience, and compassion.

Private services will be conducted at a later date, and interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greene Township.
