Donald E. Miller

Donald E. Miller, 90, of Chandler, AZ passed away on November 12, 2016. He graduated from Valley Forge Military, Wayne, PA in 1944 and served in the US Army during WWII. A life-long Buckeye, Don was a graduate of The Ohio State University (BA 1950) and the Ohio State University College of Law (1953). He worked for the Union Savings and Trust Co. of Warren, Ohio, for 25 years, rising to the position of Vice President and Trust Officer. In 1980, he moved to Phoenix, AZ where he served as a Vice President in the Trust Division of the Valley National Bank and Bank One of Arizona until he retired on January 1, 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife, Macrina "Dolly" Daily, whom he married in 1980, step daughter Macrina (Larry) Zipperer Greenhill, and brother, Morrell "Skip" Miller. Surviving him are his niece, Lynn Miller, Grove City, OH; nephew Michael (Colleen) Miller, Little Rock, AZ and their two children Michael and Michaelene; sister-in-law Betty (Robert) Miller Valentine, Grove City, OH; step-children Randall Zipperer, Cocoa, FL; Wayne (Eliana) Zipperer, Gainesville, FL; and Fred (Laura) Daily; Chandler, AZ; and nine grandchildrena�"Caitlin Zipperer; Ursula, and Luana Zipperer; Amber, Kristina, and Samantha Serrano, and Joseph (Maggie) Sudimack, IV; and Jarrod and Jake Daily. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on November 18, 2016 at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 S. Riggs RD, Sun Lakes, AZ. He will be buried alongside his wife at the National Memorial Cemetery in Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or Sun Lake Methodist Church in his name.
