Donald G. Bowman, 58, of Howland, left this world Saturday, May 19, 2007 from his residence. He was born March 29, 1949 in Salina, Kansas, a son of Don and Audrey Bowman. He had been a resident of Warren, Ohio since 1964, moving here from Kansas.
He was a 1967 of Warren G. Harding and attended Kent State University. He retired from General Motors in 1996 after 28 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and graduated from Military Police school. He was an avid football fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and was also a fan of the Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon Bowman; one son, Cody Bowman of home; two daughters: JeNelle Bowman of Warren and Cristal Dongilli of Florida; two stepdaughters: Danette and Christine, both of Florida; and six grandchildren. Gary, as he liked being called, was preceded in death by his father, his sister Colette, and his brother Shawn.
Services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a future date. Material contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
