Dianne "Dee" E. Armintrout

Dianne E. "Dee" Armintrout, 50, of Champion, died at home Sunday, August 21, 2011. She was born January 14, 1961 in Warren, the daughter of John F. and Judy (Anderson) Pettit, Sr.

A graduate of Champion High School, Mrs. Armintrout also earned an associate's degree from Kent State - Trumbull. She spent ten years in California as an Air Force wife, where they raised their two children. She also supported military personnel by caring for their children while they were away. Once returning to Trumbull County in 1996, she worked for fifteen years at Wal-Mart. A loving wife and terrific mom who was "Mom" to many kids, she enjoyed crochet, quilting, embroidery, scrapbooks, cooking, baking, candy-making at the holidays, and going to the beach.

Surviving are her mother, Judy Pettit of Champion; her husband, Robert E. Armintrout, whom she married June 21, 1986; two daughters: Andrea Armintrout of Champion and Erika Armintrout of Howland; a grandson, Evan N. Armintrout, and soon-to-be grandson, Benjamin; a sister, Brenda (John) Stewart of Bazetta; and a brother, John F. Pettit, Jr. of Bristolville. Her father precedes her in death.

Dee's family requests that you dress for a party and come to celebrate her incredible life at the 6:00 p.m. service Thursday, August 25, 2011 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Marvin Barney of Champion Presbyterian Church will officiate at the service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
