Diane Patricia (Yekel) Dennison

Diane Patricia Dennison of Niles, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 4:33 a.m. in the ICU of St. Joseph’s Health Center. She was 72.

Diane was born on December 13, 1944 in Warren, the daughter of Herman and Rita Mullen Yekel.

She was a 1962 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Following high school, Diane attended Ocean Count College in New Jersey, where she studied Business English.

Mrs. Dennison retired from Shepherd of the Valley in 1994, where she was a nurse’s aide.

Diane was of Catholic Faith. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She had a love for animals, especially her Pomeranian named Daisy, they were inseparable. Most importantly she cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her husband, Charles Dennison, whom she married May 21, 1994; 3 daughters, Lisa (Jaime) Phillips of Niles, Dawn Henderson of Niles, Chariti Jones of Warren; 5 sons, Robert (Wendy) Caldwell of Brick, NJ, Christian (Leslie) Hansen of Niles, Matthew (Nicole) Hansen of Niles, Joshua Hansen of Niles, and Keith Cramer of Niles; her mother, Rita Yekel of Cortland; 16 grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Morgan, River, Madison, Hannah, Roman, Serenity, Scott, Jesse, Ashley, Ryan, Amanda, Michael, Brett, and Sarah; 3 great grandchildren, Preston, Kameron, and Kinsley.

She was preceded in death by her father and a grandchild, Joseph Nave.
