Delbert C McMillin, 90, formerly of Warren, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Pine Valley Care Center in Richfield, Ohio. He was born Tuesday, May 16, 1916 in Warren, Ohio, the son of late Clyde Cleveland and Bertha Cox McMillin.
Delbert was a 1934 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and worked as a foreman for Packard Electric. He was a life-time member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church and its Angelus Sunday School Class, and Old Erie Lodge #3, Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio. Following his retirement Hope and Del spent winters in Hudson, FL and were members of the First United Methodist Church of Hudson.
Surviving are his wife, Hope Elizabeth Weir McMillin, Richfield, OH, whom he married August 5, 1939; three sons: William R. McMillin of Newark, CA, Fred J. McMillin of El Paso, TX, and Carl R. McMillin of Brecksville, OH; a daughter, Leah B. McMillin of Stow, OH; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and three sisters: Vera Wilson, and Clara Talbert, of Warren, and Dorothy Cinq-Mars of Harriet, CA. He was preceded in death by his brothers Eldon and Ralph McMillin; and sisters Ruth Chuhay, Helen Blazevic and Leila Huntley.
Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Friday, June 9, 2006 at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, OH with inurnment to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. N.W., Warren, OH 44485.
