David J. Pepey, 80, of Warren, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Community Skilled Health Care Centre. He was born August 20, 1931 in Warren, the son of Frank and Rose (Lito) Pepey, and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.

A Korean War veteran of the U. S. Army, Mr. Pepey worked as a machine operator for Copperweld Steel. A member of the Warren Church of God, he enjoyed music, singing, crossword puzzles, reading, and sports, especially football and baseball.

Surviving are two children: Cheryl (James) Puster of Tallmadge and Craig Allen (Dianna) Pepey of Austintown; three granddaughters: Meghan and Emily Puster and Gia Pepey; and three sisters: Toni Spong, Jennie Peppy, and Mary (Robert) Wilson, all of Warren. Preceding him in death are his first wife, Bernice (Mikus) Pepey; his second wife, Donna Jean (Barton) Pepey; a sister, Rachel Langworthy; and two brothers: Russell Peppy and Daniel Peppy.

Services are 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven Sespico of Warren Church of God officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
