David T. Lucas

David T. Lucas, 37, of Champion died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at his home. He was born September 7, 1971 in Sharon, PA, the son of Thomas and Nancy (Filer) Lucas, and had lived in Trumbull County most of his life.

David graduated from Champion High School and then went on to work as a Project Coordinator at VEC Systems in Liberty. David shared his love for the Boston Red Sox with several members of his family as well as Notre Dame Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His greatest love and enjoyment in life came from spending time with his family which included being Uncle "D" to his nieces and nephews and being a loving and devoted dad to his two girls, who were the light of his life.

Surviving are his two daughters: Kelsey and Kristen Lucas; his parents Thomas and Nancy Lucas; a sister, Jennifer (Gregory) McAllister of Cortland, OH; a brother, Robert A.J. (Kelly) Lucas of Henderson, NV; and his nieces and nephews, Molly and Thomas McAllister and Jenna and Michael Lucas. Preceding him in death are his grandparents Marjorie and Robert Filer and Eleanor and John Lucas.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 2, 2009 at North-Mar Church, 3855 East Market St., Warren, OH 44484, with Rev. Myron Daum officiating. Interment will follow at Champion Township Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening or 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning at McFarland & Son Funeral Home.
