David E. Chismark, Sr.

David E. Chismark Sr, 87, Girard, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at Concord Hartford Nursing Home in Hartford, Ohio. Dave was born December 24, 1936, in Girard, Ohio, the son of Andrew and Helen (Blackburn) Chismark. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

 He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, David (Christina) Chismark Jr, of Little Rock, Arkansas and Mike Chismark of Niles, his grandchildren, Janessa Chismark of Cortland, Ohio, Michael Chismark of Struthers, Lindsey Burns of Danville, PA, McKayla Chismark of Cortland. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Chismark, whom he married August 14,1965 and died December 28, 2023, Son Tod Chismark died August 4, 2023, his sisters, Annabelle Bozin, Blanche Ragozzine, Betty Swank, and Jeanne Palipchak, and his brothers, Robert, Charles, Paul and George Chismark.

Dave had worked for Ohio Leather Works for 18 years before working at General Motors Lordstown, for 25 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. He also enjoyed listening to music, singing karaoke, and working in his garden. He was an avid hunter and in his younger days he enjoyed playing softball with lifelong friends. Dave will be laid to rest at Church Hill Cemetery.
