David D. Brown

David D. Brown, 48, of Warren, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at St. Joseph Health Center after a brief illness. He was born December 24, 1959 in Warren, the son of LeRoy and Marilyn (Jones) Brown, Jr., and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.

Mr. Brown was a graduate of Lakeview High School and served with the U.S. Marines and the Marine Reserves, including a tour of duty in Norway during the first Gulf war. He had worked as superintendent of public services for the city of Cortland. An expert marksman, he enjoyed shooting and hunting. An avid bicyclist, he had competed in many races and had built several custom-designed bicycles. He also enjoyed sailing and fishing.

Surviving are his father, LeRoy Brown, Jr. of Cortland; and two brothers, Dean L. Brown of Franklin, N.C. and Dennis M. Brown of Ravenna. His mother, Marilyn Brown, precedes him in death.
