Dave Braunberns; North Park Avenue; Bristolville, Ohio and South Ruby Drive, Key Largo, Florida, died on October 31st at Baptist Hospital in Miami. Mr. Braunberns was ill for several months and had renal failure.
Dave was born July 19, 1944 in Warren, Ohio. He was the son of Frank G. and Ella Peterson Braunberns, whom have preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Warren Harding High School and also a graduate of the Ohio District Council Carpenter's Apprenticeship Program.
Dave was member of the Key Largo Moose Lodge 2287 and a member of the West Farmington VFW Post 7200 in West Farmington, Ohio. He was member of the First United Methodist Church in Warren, Ohio.
Dave retired in 2003 after serving thirty years as a Journeyman Carpenter in Ohio Carpenter's Union Local 0171 of Youngstown, Ohio.
He also retired in 2003 from Lazy B Trailer Sales Inc., in Bristolville, Ohio. Mr. Braunberns established Lazy B Trailer Sales Inc. in 1973 and served as its President until his retirment.
Dave is survived by his wife Sharon R. Westbrook, whom he married on August 2, 1968; his sister Lorraine (John) Roberts of Ft. Myers, Florida; four nieces Becky and Amy Roberts of Tempe, Arizona, Barbie (Edd) Pennicuff of East Liverpool, Ohio and Margaret (Neil) Baker of Lisbon, Ohio. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Danny R. Westbrook whom he loved as a son. His mother-in-law, Ruth Geer Westbrook of Leetonia, Ohio; and his Aunt Mildred Peterson, of North Bloomfield, Ohio, whom he loved dearly also survive.
Dave requested that he be cremated and that his ashes be spread over his favorite fishing grounds in the Florida Keys that he loved so well.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Braunberns Scholarship fund at Cortland Bank, P.O. Box 217, Bristolville, Ohio 44402.
The family will receive friends at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481 on Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also 1 hour prior to the Memorial Service which will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 4:00 PM at the Wildare United Methodist Church, 7211 North Park Ext. Corner of N. Park Ext and Bristol-Champion Townline Rd., Champion Township where the Rev. Keith Peachey will officiate.
