Daniel J. Chasser

Daniel J. Chasser, 63, of Bristolville, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 9, 1944 in Warren, the son of William J. and Verona (Coons) Chasser, and had lived in Trumbull County his entire life.

Mr. Chasser worked for more than 20 years as a truck driver for Multiserve. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he belonged to VFW Post 7200, West Farmington. He enjoyed horseshoes and was a big fan of the Indians, Browns, and Buckeyes.

Surviving are his wife, Jeannie (Hirsch) Chasser, whom he married November 22, 2002; his mother, Verona Chasser of Howland; four daughters: Lori (Chris) Chepke and Tammy Chasser, both of Niles, Heather Barr of Newton Falls, and Dawn Barr of Leavittsburg; six grandchildren: Ian and Isabella Chepke, Chessa Cavalier, and Brooke, Nicholas, and Brenna Barr; five sisters: Evelyn Hulick of Tempe, Ariz., Shelly (Scott) Wardlaw of Phoenix, Ariz., Janet (Pat) O'Neal of Madison, Ohio, Pam Smith and Sonia (Mike) Sams, both of Howland; and two brothers, Scott (Nova) Chasser of Niles and Donald (Karen) Chasser of Howland. Preceding him in death are his father and a brother, Bob Chasser.
