Daniel P. Beers

Daniel P. Beers, 85, of Warren, died 12:40 AM Saturday, June 24, 2006 at home. He was born December 12, 1920 in Allentown, Pa., the son of Daniel A. and Florence Biery Beers, and had lived in Warren since 1922.

Mr. Beers served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from Master Dry Cleaners in Warren after more than 40 years of employment.

He is survived by three nieces: Carol Collier of Niles, Karen Vingle of Braceville, and Miriam Perrotta of Warren. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Theresa A. "Tess" Beers, whom he married September 7, 1951 and who died November 5, 1997; two sisters: Madeline Meisel and Erma Sandt; and three brothers: Henry D., David A., and William R. Beers.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with his nephew, the Rev. Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Vienna Township Cemetery. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made either to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Rd. S.W., Warren, Ohio 44481, or to Angels for Animals, 4750 State Route 165, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
