Cynthia G. (Wolford) Alvarez of Niles, passed away on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 6:10 a.m. in her residence with her family by her side. She was 61.
Ms. Alvarez was born January 9, 1953 in Ravenna, OH, a daughter of Dale A. and Patricia Irene Durig Wolford.
She was a 1971 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School.
Cindy was the office manager for The Reproductive Center in Youngstown.
She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and playing Words with Friends. Most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. For the past few years she cherished the time she spent assisting in the care of her mother and sister.
Surviving are: a daughter, Molly P. (Mark) Vansteenberg of Niles; 10 siblings, Kathy (Don) Garland of Liberty, Debra Wolford and Dr. Michael Turkali of McDonald, Karen (Brian) Lengyel of Lordstown, Joseph (Patricia) Wolford of Idaho, Frank (Teri) Wolford of Salem, Donald Wolford of McDonald, David Wolford of Warren, Leonard (Sandra) of Columbus, John (Cheri) Wolford of McDonald and Paul (Becky) Wolford of McDonald; 2 grandchildren, Greta and Scarlett Vansteenberg.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerald and Glen Wolford; a sister, Minnie Wolford.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Fairhaven Foundation, 420 Lincoln Way Niles, OH 44446.
