Constance J. Koren

Constance June "Connie" Koren, 66, of Bristolville, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 8, 1943 in Grove City, Pa., the daughter of Howard W. and Geraldine A. (Smith) Painter.

Mrs. Koren studied at Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh before moving to Trumbull County in the 1960s. An active member of St. William Parish in Champion, she was the lead organizer for the craft fairs at the church for many years. She enjoyed working at Chick's Greenhouse, and she and Ron made their own crafts, which they displayed at many a craft show. They also enjoyed vacationing twice a year in Williamsburg, Va.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald P. Koren, whom she married November 25, 1967; two sons: Mark A. (Jill) of Westerville, Ohio and Jeffrey L. (Michelle) Koren of Pataskala, Ohio; a grandson, Nicholas A. Koren; and a brother, Howard "Bud" (Linda) Painter of Grove City, Pa. Preceding her in death are her parents and a sister, Lola J. "Pat" Brown.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. William Parish, with Fr. Michael Balash officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
