Cloyce E. Clark, 81, of Southington, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the emergency room of St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. He was born November 1, 1929 in Middlefield, the son of Wade and Vennetta (Fobes) Clark, and had lived in Geauga and Trumbull counties all his life.
A graduate of Middlefield High School, Mr. Clark retired in 1986, after more than 35 years of employment, from Mercury Plastics, where he had worked as a shipping & receiving foreman. A member of Southington United Methodist Church and a 14 year-plus member of Knights of Pythias Lodge #333, West Farmington, he enjoyed mowing his yard and taking family trips.
Surviving are two sons: Gary C. of Champion and Stephen L. Clark of Southington; two brothers: Harold (Nancy) and Gordon (Carole) Clark, both of Middlefield; and his former wife, Athalee Lawson of Brunswick. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Shirley A. (Van Slyke) Clark, whom he married February 20, 1966 and who died November 3, 1996; a sister, Viola Smith; and a brother, Elton Clark.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Patricia Christ of Otterbein United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Southington Reformed Cemetery. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
