Clarence R. Witherow

Clarence R. Witherow, 81, of Leavittsburg, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born September 28, 1925 in Brookville, Pa., the son of Frank and Margaret Witherow.

Mr. Witherow served in the U.S. Army and worked 36 ½ years as a millwright for Copperweld Steel, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed gardening, cars, and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Marjory Dawn (Van Campen) Witherow, whom he married November 14, 1944; his children: James C. and Jack F. Witherow, both of Warren, Dianne R. Morrison of Warren, Ronald L. (Theresa) Witherow of Bristolville, Virginia A. Garlike of Katy, Tex., and Douglas S. (Tina) Witherow of Leavittsburg; seventeen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; a son, Ray Witherow, and all his sisters and brothers.

Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 19, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral home, with Rev. Gerald Davison officiating. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home. The committal service will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Crown Hill Burial Park, with interment to follow.
