Clara E. Leach

Clara E. "Betty" Leach, 86, of Warren, died 7:03 PM Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital-Forum Health. She was born Wednesday, January 2, 1918, in New Martinsville, WV, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Grace Greta Winkler Bucher.

A longtime resident of Warren, Betty was a member of First United Methodist Church and once served as a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Betty's full and active life included golf, bowling, bridge, and world travel.

She is mourned by three daughters: Susan (James) Swisher of Murphysboro, Illinois, Ann Miller of Warren, and Gretta (Curtis) Bierly of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-greandchildren; a sister, Louise Olson of San Diego, Calif., and a brother, John (Beulah) Bucher of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Robert E. Leach, whom she married in 1938 and who died in 1974.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, Rev. Rick Oaks officiating, with a reception at the First United Methodist Church following the service. Friends may call at the funeral home 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday. An Eastern Star service will be held at 1:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 29 at Sager Cemetery in Bristolville.
