Christine Meredith

Christine Meredith, 84, of Warren, died at home Sunday, April 15, 2007. She was born August 5, 1922 in Brownsville, Pa., the daughter of Michael and Anna (Fidishin) Roman.

Mrs. Meredith was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and worked as a cook at Cesta's Golden Gate Restaurant. She belonged to Warren First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed bingo, needlework, and flowers.

Surviving are her daughters: Kathleen Kay of Cortland and Theresa (Henry) Percich of Newton Falls; three grandchildren: Robert (Wendy) Kay, Rebecca (Alfred) Rasmussen, and Meredith Percich; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Pawcio. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Frederick Meredith, whom she married April 5, 1943 and who died July 26, 2000; a grandson, Steven Kay; and two brothers, John and Michael Roman.

Friends and family may call 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Services will be private. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Material contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 4179 Parkman Rd. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44481.
