Cheryl L. Calderone of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 5:58 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was 61.
Cheryl was born in Pomona, CA on August 1, 1955, the daughter of Harold and Annette Craig Jordan.
She was a 1973 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, Cheryl attended Youngstown State University.
Mrs. Calderone was employed for the Niles City School Systems for over 24 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. Earlier in life, Cheryl was employed as a loan officer for Seven Seventeen Credit Union.
She was of Christian faith. Cheryl looked forward to each month going out to dinner with her friends. She enjoyed trips to the wineries in Geneva and casinos. Cheryl was an avid Ohio State Fan. She was active in Relay for Life and was involved in the Niles Football Mothers. Mrs. Calderone acquired the knack and excelled in the Italian Cooking and baking traditions. Most importantly she cherished her family.
Cheryl is survived by her husband and love of her life, David Calderone, whom she married August 13, 1983 in Mt. Carmel Church; 2 sons whom were her pride and joy, Christopher Calderone and Michael Calderone both of Niles; a sister, Nancy Thompson of Albany, OR; a brother, Thomas Jordan, Anchorage, AK; her mother, Annette Jordan, Springfield, OR; a best friend, Jill Stan of Niles; numerous nieces and nephews; In addition she is survived by her in-laws who she loved spending time with.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Laurie Lail.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home and Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446. There will also be calling hours one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Deacon John Bartos.
Internment will take place in Niles City Cemetery.
