Charlotte V. Weir

Charlotte V. Weir, 88, of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla. and formerly of Warren, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla. She was born June 20, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Edward and Minnie Lee (O'Neill) Schimmel.

Mrs. Weir was a graduate of South High School in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Warren Business College. She and her late husband, Robert Weir Sr., owned and managed many rental properties in Warren, where she was active in the women's circles. She was a resident of Florida for over twenty years, and was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Melbourne, Fl, and the Brevard County Humane Society. She was a member of various bowling leagues both in Warren and Melbourne, and enjoyed extensive travel with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Weir Shoemaker of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. and Deborah Weir Anders of Satellite Beach, Fl., her son Robert J. Weir Jr. of Hollywood, CA., her grandson, Matthew R. Anders of Miami, Fl., and son-in-law Calvin S. Shoemaker of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Robert J. Weir Sr., whom she married January 5, 1941 and who died November 25, 1989.

Services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Noon at McFarland & Son Funeral Service, 271 N. Park Ave, Warren, Ohio 44481. Rev. Kelly Faulstich of Emmanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio.
Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
