Charlotte Byrne-Snyder

Louisville, Ohio - Charlotte C. Byrne-Snyder, 93, formerly of Cortland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Louisville, OH. She was born on December 20, 1919 in Canton, OH, the daughter of the late James and Helen Maruhn Davis.

Charlotte was a member of Bazetta Christian Church and Morning Light Chapter #80, O.E.S. and was a fifty year member of the Social Order of the Beauceant, She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, reading, doing ceramics and playing cards. In her own words "I'm proud of my family, thankful for their love and care and watching my grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren grow up.. I'm also thankful for the many friendships I've made along life's road."

She was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and moved to Trumbull Co. in 1942. She married Raymond A. Byrne on January 21, 1938 and he passed away on October 12, 1981. She then married Warren A. Snyder on June 6 1987, who preceded her in death on February 17, 1993.

Memories of Charlotte will be carried on by her daughters, Evelyn L. (Walter) Arens of Naples, FL; Judith L. (Ralph) Olenik-Thomas of Louisville, OH; step-daughter, Karen (Ronald) Goldner of Bristolville; step-son, Ronald Snyder of Cortland; grandchildren, Christine Countryman of Niles, William Countryman Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Thomas Countryman of Garrettsville, Scott Countryman of Washington, DC, Richard Pugh of the UK, and Pamela Simon of Virginia Beach, VA; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lorin J. Davis, Charles Davis, Ronald Davis; sister, Elaine Beabout; 2 infant brothers, and 2 infant sisters.

Her family will greet friends, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren, from noon till 2:00pm. Services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Leone officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.

Charlotte's family suggest contributions be made in the form of contributions to Bazetta Christian Church, 4131 Hoagland Blackstub Rd. Cortland, OH 44410.
