Charles M. Brigham, 85, of Warren, died at home Sunday, March 8, 2009. He was born February 11, 1924 in Clearfield, Pa., the son of Charles Perry and Vema Mae (Woodring) Brigham, and had lived in the Warren area for over 70 years.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps, Mr. Brigham worked at Halsey Taylor and Warren Sanitary Dairy before retiring from Packard Electric as a harness assembler. He attended Tod Ave. United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing, water skiing, dancing, sports, and was a big fan and supporter of both the Warren Western Reserve Raiders and the Harding Raiders.
Surviving are his three children: Sandra Walker of Streetsboro, Charles M. (Maureen) Brigham II of Leavittsburg, and Gary L. Brigham of Hermitage, Pa.; six grandchildren: Stacy Famageltto of Aurora, Keri (Patrick) Fate of Phoenix, Ariz., Melissa (Matthew) Ball of Leavittsburg, Matthew (Amy) Brigham of Warren, Melanie (Joshua) Raines of Toledo and Christine (Brian) Kereluik of Warren; eleven great-grandchildren: Josh and Jake Famageltto, Jonathan, Isaac, and Aaron Ball, Kayla and Breanna Kereluik, Makenzie Renee Fate, Elijah Raines, and Samantha and Lindsey Brigham. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Mary Catherine (Diehl) Brigham, whom he married February 26, 1947 and who died December 9, 2004; two sisters; and a brother.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Military honors will be observed. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the Instrumental Music Program, Warren G.
