Charles W. Aldridge, 90, of Mineral Ridge, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles. He was born April 22, 1917 in Warren, the son of James and Alice (Niblock) Aldridge, and had lived in Trumbull County his entire life.
Mr. Aldridge served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a roller for Copperweld Steel. He belonged to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Warren and enjoyed football, baseball, golf, and bowling.
Surviving are his wife, May Patricia "Pat" (McKenna) Aldridge, whom he married July 21, 1945; six children: John W. (Diane) Aldridge of Punta Gorda, Fla., Rosaleen D. (George) Duritsa of Poland, Patricia G. (John) Grilli of Mineral Ridge, Charles E. (Suzette) Aldridge of Howland, Dennis J. (Patricia) Aldridge of Howland, and Denise E. (Robert) Orsak of Richmond, Tex.; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Philip Aldridge of Houston, Tex. Preceding him in death are his parents; two grandsons; two sisters: Helen Considder and Dorothy Moon; and four brothers: Robert, Raymond, Jack, and Leo Aldridge.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1401 Moncrest N.W., Warren, Ohio 44485, with Fr. William Loveless officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
