Cecilia A. Lutz

Cecilia A. Lutz, 85, of Warren, died at home 2:45 PM Sunday, September 17, 2006. She was born October 7, 1920 in New York, N.Y., the daughter of Patrick and Margaret Tully Byrnes, and had lived in Warren since 1946.

Mrs. Lutz was a graduate of Julia Richman High School in New York City. She had worked as a secretary for Warren City Schools, retiring in 1980. She had been a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church for over 50 years, and had been active in the Altar & Rosary Society and the 50-Plus Club. She had also volunteered with Hospice of the Valley for seven years.

Surviving are her children: Lawrence R. Lutz of Warren, Roger J. (Anita) Lutz of Memphis, Tenn., Diane M. Byrne of Weyers Cave, Va., and Marie T. Lutz of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren: Aaron (Marion) Seliquini of Princeton, N.J., Brent (Gina) Seliquini of Sterling, Va., Cara Seliquini of Wilmington, N.C., Ryan Lutz of Atlanta, Ga., and Michelle Lutz of Memphis, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Ralph H. Lutz, whom she married March 2, 1946 and who died May 25, 1985; a sister, Margaret Byrnes; and two brothers, Edward and Patrick Byrnes.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1000 Tod Ave. S.W., Warren, Ohio 44485, with Fr. James McKarns officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church.
