Carol H. Balko, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Hospice House in Poland, OH. She was born March 14, 1940 to Chester & Mary (Kenyon) Hart in Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Carol married Stephen Balko on October 20, 1961. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carol was a loving nanny to many families in the area, loved to shop, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren, OH.

Loving memories of Carol will be carried on by her husband, Stephen G. Balko of Warren, OH; son, Stephen H. Balko of Wellston, OH; daughters, Kimberly (Adam) Hammonds of Howland, OH and Kelli (Joseph) Komlanc of Niles, OH; sisters, Gloria Seacrest of Fairless, PA and Virginia Santone of Greensburg, PA; grandchildren: Timothy & Sean Hammonds; Patrick, Stephen A. & Alyssa Balko; Joey & Leighton Komlanc; and many nieces & nephews. Carol is preceded in death by a son, Scott Balko; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends and family may gather at McFarland & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10 am at the Funeral Home with Revs. Rick Oaks and Yesudas Devadan officiating. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, OH.
